Many are beginning to appreciate the huge potential of blogging and its influence on building credibility and reputation but in order to generate this type of result the art of making your posts compelling should be consciously developed.If you are directing huge traffic to your site but the content is junk, you achieve nothing. Fortunately you don’t need a degree to write compelling posts. This skill can be easily developed.

There are a number of options to consider when writing blog posts.You can concentrate on pure fresh content that is informative,valuable and well written ;write product reviews which would help buyers make informed decisions before making purchases or share your opinions and thoughts concerning various news publications.

As I said earlier, developing skills for writing compelling posts is not rocket science, it all depends on one’s interest and determination. Below are some success tips for effective blog writing.

* Keep your sentences and paragraphs short - Long ones usually deter readers from reading everything - be aware that readers usually lose interest within the first 20seconds.Short paragraphs incite further reading.

* Make your titles catchy to attract attention but at the same time search engine optimized.

* Arouse desire - If you are promoting an affiliate product it is essential to generate a persuasive longing for that product and if it is for informational purposes only this principle is still necessary to instill a desire for continuous reading.

* Don’t take it too serious - Most readers tend to relate better to blog with a less formal tone.

* Add some humor.It is interesting how a little tickling of the humor nerve gets readers excited.

*Write like it counts. It gives an impression you should be taken seriously.

* White space is an asset.Use it It makes reading easier. Nothing is harder to read than a solid chunk of text.

* Use bullet points generously. They effectively hammer home the salient points.

* Make use of subheadings - it makes it easier to get a gist of the content at a glance

* Select a tone and maintain its consistency throughout the blog.

* Include a desired call for action - It is important that you spell out the desired action you want your readers to take. There is always something you want your readers to do,purchase a product ,subscribe or leave a comment. A smart blogger does well to ensure that readers stick around for long and take an action.

* Always do a spell check before posting your blogs.Too many errors gives a doubtful impression.

* Eliminate any irrelevant points - They may mask the core message of your blog

* Keep out slang terms as some readers are easily offended.Make use of words that are understood by many people.Be conscious of the fact that your readers come from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.

* Avoid using too many abbreviations - it impairs comprehension of your post.

In making a blog to share your opinions, ideas or knowledge, your sincerity and dedication should be felt in every post. Readers do readily appreciate that.
