Using Feedburner To Promote Your Blog
When it comes to getting regular visitors and readers to your blog one of the easiest and often used ways is via rss feeds (Real Simple Syndication) in basic terms this mean people can subscribe to your blog and each time it’s updated a message is sent to their feed reader either letting them know of the update or sending the entire blog post to their computer desktop or other way they have their feeds delivered.
For me the best way to let readers know I’ve updated my blog is via feedburner. As you can see I have a subscription form in the sidebar of this blog, by adding your email address (and then opting in) each time I add a new post to this blog you will receive an email of that post. But that’s not the only reason for using a feed reader like feedburner.
This also helps to keep track of site visitors, enables the feed to be read by a variety of different feed readers and offers the chance to monetise the blog by joining the ad network, plus there’s a whole lot of other cool tools an tips etc.
For those that subscribe to the blog you will only ever receive an email when the blog is updated so there’s no need to fear that you might receive a lot of emails.
If you liked this post you can buy me a coffee :-)
